It must be Tuesday
May. 16th, 2006 11:02 pmWhat is it about Tuesdays that inspires me into completing massive amounts of household chores? Probably guilt from not doing 'em over the weekend and a need for order for dealing with the rest of the week. Tonight was laundry, carpets and floors, garbage and recycling, and vacuuming the dust out of the ceiling fan and ceiling corners. Even managed to scare the cat.
I finally acquired my "missing" volume of Scrapped Princess. Sam Goody is closing stores and liquidating inventory as part of bankruptcy proceedings. Right now the sale prices range from 40-60% retail, which bring the final price to about the Best Buy/Target standard sale prices. As stores close, the remaining inventory is making its way to the downtown store. I acquired all of Fruits Basket, and found four of the six Scrapped Princess volumes a couple of weeks ago. I've been going back about once a week to see if the other volumes might show up (if not, Best Buy has them). One volume showed up last week, and the other this week. Yay for complete sets, and yay for sale prices!
So far, no call from the weekend. And I am GOOD with that.
