Art stuff

I got a lot of tracing done last night. I found a pad of paper designed for marker use - I'd purchased it by mistake when I started my animation program when I couldn't remember the type of tracing paper I needed, just the brand. It worked wonderfully. The pictures look great, too, and it should cut down on the fuss and muss of the digital clean up.

I was having problems with one picture. The hand just didn't look right. Now, hands are a pain in the butt to draw in general. I'm getting better, but I still struggle with it. And I couldn't figure out what to do to make it right.

I figured out what the problems was after I finished tracing. I'd stuck an extra finger on the hand. You would think I would have picked up on that sooner. Anyhow, made the correction and retraced the drawing.

I got to bed earlier last night, although it was still late. I'm not sure how late I will be up tonight. I have to get at least three of the illustrations done and emailed tonight, and I'm shooting for five. I'm fully expecting to have some, if not all, of them come back with requests for changes (mostly for size, but that could result in having to re-compose the elements of the illustration). SCA may or may not happen, although dinner after certainly will not.

I ordered some new CDs direct from the publisher last week (Narada). UPS tried to deliver them on Monday, but I was still at the coffee shop working. Normally, I would have been home, and it was freakishly late for UPS - they usually make deliveries in my neighborhood around 2 - but I was still at the coffee shop working. I meant to leave ealier yesterday, but...

I notice the UPS truck parked with its hazards on about half a block from my apartment when I finally walk home. The driver is in the back moving stuff around, so I decided to ask if he has my package. He does! Yay! Everyone is happy. I have my CDs, I didn't have to drive to the depot to get them, and the driver has one less delivery to worry about.
